1979: Graduated from University of Copenhagen with a Masters degree in History

1972-91: Teacher at Krogerup Folkehøjskole. Teaching economic, history and political science.

1981-91: Programme producer, DR TV
Education, current affairs and documentary programmes. Produced more than 160 hours of TV programmes and couple of hundred hours radio. Educational programs, feature programs, travel programs, current affairs and the last year's prime time political talk-shows.

1991-96: Founder and principal of the European Film College, Ebeltoft
An international film & TV school offering education for young talents and for the professional media world.
Fundraiser of app. 12 mio. EURs for construction and founding purposes. Designing the college curriculum and appointing the international staff. Marketing and branding the institution. Principal for the college after inauguration and continuing the fundraising with sponsor contracts from UIP, B&O, EU, MPAA and others.

Responsible for DR 1 (6000 hours / year 2000) and DR 2 (3000 hours / year 2000)
Daily top down management of a production staff of 1.500 employees, from journalists, producers and program-makers to cameramen, sound-engineers, carpenters and costume designers. The production staff organised in 9 program divisions, from news, current affairs, documentary and sport to entertainment, music, drama, children and education.
Personal management of the DR TV feature film portfolio, introducing and fully financing the Dogma project, establishing DR TV at the centre of the Danish feature film production.
Responsible for DR Interactive, the DR organisation producing iTV, ETV, text TV, mobile platforms and online.

From 1988 to 1995 DR TV lost a primetime market-share of 74% after competition to the public service monopoly had been introduced. From 1996 till 2002 6 new national competitors started broadcasting. In the same period DR TV has gained a market-share of further 5%. In 1996 DR TV broadcast app. 5.000 hours of television, in 2002 they broadcasted 9.000 hours, with the licence fee stable in the period.
From 1996 also a member of the board of Nordvision.

2000-01: Chairman of the board, Nordvision. Nordvision is a cooperation organisation for the 5 Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Island and Denmark) coproducing yearly more than 2000 hours of television. Supported by a collective fund financed by the cable levy's from the 5 countries, with a yearly circulation of app. 10 mio EUR's.

2000-01: Chairman of the board, Nordmagi A/S. A commercial company founded by the four biggest Nordic countries producing children programs, investing in merchandise and selling international rights in order to compete successfully with international companies such as Disney, Cartoon and Fox.

2002-10: Director of Television, European Broadcasting Union in Geneva. Full member of the
Executive Committee and responsible for all TV and New Media activities, except sport and news. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is the largest association of national broadcasters in the world (75 active Members, 43 associate Members) and the biggest coproduction house in Europe, running 75 parallel coproductions, including the Euro-vision Song Contest. The EBU support public service broadcasters in delivering unique high quality programming to their audiences. It offers Members program, technical, operational and legal services, and coordinates a growing supply of quality content for radio, television and new platforms. It provides Members with information and analysis on media trends, and training designed to meet their needs. 2010 - International TV Consultancy Expert.
Working for Ictimai TV in Azerbaijan, BTRC in Minsk Belorussia, the Film Company Working Title in London UK. Teaching at the Academy of Journalism in Kiev Ukraine, the European Television Management Academy (ETMA) in Strasbourg, France and the University of Copenhagen.

Senior Expert for the EU Commission with major projects in Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey. Management of full modernisation and digitalisation of UA:PBC In Ukraine (The public service broadcaster) financed by the Danish Foreign Ministry and in cooperation with DR and TV2 DK. Chief advisor for the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev 2017.

Member of the Executive Board of TV2 Denmark and the Children Film Company Copenhagen-Bombay.
